Colossians 4:2 "Devote yourselves to prayer."

The prayer life of the church is its foundation. Click onto this page for encouragement to pray and to know what the needs of the church are.

Prayer can take different forms. a good place to start is:

1.Prayers of praise and thanksgiving.

Praise and worship brings us into the presence of God. It reminds us of who He is and what He has done for us. God loves to hear the praises of His people. Try Psalm 149 for a starter.

2. Prayers of intercession.

Intercession is when we pray for other people. Jesus is our intercessor who presents our requests to His Father (and our Father). Don't forget that Jesus is at His Father's right hand after his amazing act of sacrifice on the cross. Hebrews 7:25 "(Jesus) is there from now to eternity to save everyone who comes to God through him, always on the job to speak up for them" (The Message)

3. Prayers of supplication.

Probably the praying we do the most. Asking for stuff! Not surprisingly it is the type of prayer we seem to need the least encouragement to do, and it is a prayer that all Christians should regularly engage in. Luke 11:13 "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"

Sundays Prayer

Every Sunday we have a regular prayer meeting. In the evening we have our 6.30pm prayer meeting where we pray for the needs in our community and nation.

Also, don't forget that every Wednesday is a dedicated day of prayer where you're encouraged to pray for the work of Sure Hope in sharing God's love.

Points for Prayer

For this year of 2010; that God would use the ministries of Sure Hope Church to impact lives and reach into the community with His love.

For the future of Sure Hope Church as the Leadership Team spend the Summer seeking God's face about the Vision and Direction God is leading us in creating a Contemporary Christ-centred Culture.

For all the children and youth that come to our after schools programmes, that during the Summer break they would stay safe and grow in their knowledge and love of God.

Answers to Prayer

More children and youth are coming to Kidspace and Ignition this year than last year. Thank God for this amazing fact and pray that they'll be positively impacted by Him and the message of the gospel.

Thank God that we finally have a new pastor, David Hatch. Pray that he and his family will be blessed and transition smoothly from where they currently reside in South Wales, to up here in Colwyn Bay.

Thank God for His protection and provision for Tim and Naomi Steere as they cycled through South America raising money for FSID. They are now safely home.
